Head of Human Resources (Sales, Marketing, ICT & Finance)

Location: Reading (Hybrid - office, field & home-based - Tuesday and Wednesday are mandatory days in office plus one additional day)

Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Kyocera is on an exciting journey to evolve and modernise the way we support our people. We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Human Resources to partner with our Sales, Marketing, ICT and Finance functions during a key period of change.

This is a senior, influential role at the heart of our HR model. You'll work closely with senior leaders as a trusted advisor, shaping people strategy, strengthening leadership capability and delivering a high-quality employee experience-while ensuring strong governance, compliance and operational excellence.

You'll also lead and develop the HR Operations team, embedding modern, transparent and people-centred HR practices aligned to Kyocera's philosophy and values.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with senior leaders to align people strategy with business objectives
  • Shape organisational design, workforce planning and change initiatives
  • Use people insights and analytics to influence strategic decision-making

Talent, Leadership & Culture

  • Lead succession planning and leadership development across critical roles
  • Build strong leadership and management capability through coaching and development
  • Champion a culture of inclusion, learning and high performance

Change & Employee Engagement

  • Lead organisational change, including restructures and transformation activity
  • Oversee employee engagement, communication and consultation
  • Act as a credible advisor on complex people and organisational matters

HR Operations & Team Leadership

  • Lead, develop and inspire the HR Operations team
  • Ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant and continuously improving
  • Drive adoption of new systems, tools and ways of working

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a broad HR generalist or HRBP role (FTC/maternity leave cover experience desirable but not essential).
  • CIPD Level 5 or above is an advantage
  • Ability to step into an existing role quickly and provide continuity with minimal handover.
  • Strong employee relations capability, including performance management, absence, disciplinaries and grievances; comfortable picking up and managing ongoing cases and BAU activity.
  • Confident and credible advisor to managers, maintaining consistent people practices during the cover period.
  • Solid working knowledge of UK employment law and organisational policies.
  • Experience managing day-to-day HR operations while maintaining service levels and compliance, with an understanding and appreciation of the full employee lifecycle.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Clear, professional communicator with strong stakeholder management skills; hands-on and pragmatic with a focus on solutions and delivery.
  • Experience working with HR systems and people data to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Commercial decision-making aligned to Kyocera's philosophy of doing the right thing' for both the business and our employees.
  • Personable, with high emotional intelligence/empathy and able to build relationships quickly.
