About the role

Henley Morgan is recruiting an SAP Business One Technical Consultant in Reading for a leading SAP Gold Partner with a strong UK and European client base. This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role bridging SAP Business One Functional Consultants and Developers – configuring SAP B1, building add-ons with the SAP Business One SDK, writing SQL and HANA queries and authoring Crystal Reports across mid-market manufacturing, distribution and services clients. If you are a Reading or Thames-Valley-based SAP B1 Technical Consultant, SAP Business One Developer or SAP B1 Senior Consultant ready to specialise on the technical side of SAP Business One, this is one of the strongest SAP Business One Technical Consultant jobs in the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver SAP Business One technical workstreams across implementation, upgrade and rollout projects on both SAP B1 SQL and SAP Business One on HANA

• Build and customise SAP B1 add-ons using the SAP Business One SDK (DI API, UI API), Service Layer and B1if/B1iSN integration framework

• Author and tune SQL Server and SAP HANA queries, Crystal Reports for SAP Business One and Pervasive Analytics dashboards

• Design and configure Boyum B1 Usability Package (B1UP), Produmex WMS and Beas Manufacturing add-ons

• Develop SAP Business One integrations with Magento, Shopify, EDI, CRM and bespoke web platforms via Service Layer / DI API

• Support SAP B1 pre-sales activity – technical scoping, demos and effort estimation alongside the Reading sales team

Skills and experience required

• Demonstrable experience as an SAP Business One Technical Consultant, SAP B1 Developer or SAP Business One Senior Consultant

• Strong working knowledge of the SAP Business One SDK (DI API, UI API), Service Layer and Crystal Reports for SAP B1

• Confident SQL skills (Microsoft SQL Server) and ideally SAP HANA SQLScript

• Hands-on experience configuring SAP Business One core modules – Financials, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, MRP and Production

• Excellent client-facing consulting skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Eligible to work in the UK and able to attend the Reading office on a hybrid basis (typically 2 days per week)

Desirable / nice to have

• SAP Business One certification (current or expired) on SQL or HANA editions

• Background working for an SAP Gold or Silver Partner

• Experience with Boyum B1UP, Produmex WMS or Beas Manufacturing

• Exposure to .NET / C# development for SAP Business One add-on builds
