Reception Teacher - Inspiring School in Reading

We are seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join our friendly and high-achieving school in Reading from January 2026. This permanent role is open to full-time and part-time applicants, with the potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate.

The Role

Position: Reception Teacher
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time considered
TLR: Available for subject or phase leadership (for the right candidate)

As our Reception Teacher, you will:

• Lead a Reception class through an engaging, play-based curriculum
• Support children’s early literacy, numeracy, and personal development
• Create an inspiring and inclusive classroom environment
• Build strong relationships with children and families
• (If applicable) Lead a subject area or phase to enhance school-wide provision

What We’re Looking For

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• EYFS or Reception teaching experience
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and assessment
• Warmth, creativity, and a reflective approach
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Openness to leadership opportunities (if seeking a TLR)
