Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm
Salary
This position is full time and you will receive a salary of £28,000 to £34,000 depending on experience

What you'll be doing
As our new Assistant Psychologist, you will:- You will contribute to the effective running of MHTR pathway by being a motivated and supportive team member. You will deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention and will support the service user’s recovery journey.
- Be undertaking psychological assessments and working with agreed case formulations and plans of care, ensuring models of psychological intervention delivered is evidence based and relevant.
- You will conduct risk assessments for suitability of treatment and level of engagement to inform court recommendations
- Contribute to audit, research and service evaluation projects, with colleagues within the service, to help develop service provision
- Attend regional and national Psychological Therapies meetings, service development and other relevant meetings as required
- Will provide advice, guidance and support to service users to enhance awareness of their psychological needs

Qualifications and skills required:
- Hold a Degree in Psychology
- Although not essential, a Masters Degree would be beneficial
- Have experience within a paid Assistant Psychologist role, whether in a prison, community setting, psychiatric environment
- Be experienced in facilitating patient therapeutic groups, and delivering psychological assessment, formulation and intervention in the structure of an evidence based therapeutic model (e.g. CBT / CFT / DBT)
- Understanding of complex mental health/neurodevelopmental and substance misuse issues and presentations and the role
