Health Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes or home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities

* Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility

* Support with medication administration as per care plans

* Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress

* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

* Help organise and update individual care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team

* Drive or accompany patients to appointments or outings when required

* Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all patients

* Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including infection control measures

Experience

* Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided

* Good understanding of care plans and patient needs

* Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation

* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

* Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving patient transportation

* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when necessary
