Below are some general steps by which one can become a nurse prescriber in the UK:

Firstly, you must be a registered nurse with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC)
Secondly, you must meet the requirements set by the NMC which include having at least three years of post-registration experience. On these three years one must be in a clinical area in which you intend to prescribe.
