Associate Geotechnical Engineer

£55,000 - £70,000 An excellent opportunity has come up for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering consultancy in Reading. This role is ideal for a senior engineer ready to step into a leadership position, with a strong mix of technical delivery, team management, and client engagement. The Role As an Associate Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality geotechnical projects while supporting the growth and development of the team. Key responsibilities include: Managing and delivering a range of geotechnical and ground investigation projects
Leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers
Producing and reviewing technical reports, including foundation design and geotechnical assessments
Supporting business development activities, including client liaison and proposal writing
Assisting with the financial management of projects
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulationsRequirements Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or related field
Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or equivalent)
Strong experience in geotechnical design, site investigations, and reporting
Proven experience managing projects and teams
Good commercial awareness and client-facing experience
