Planner – Private Planning Consultancy – Reading Fraser Recruitment is partnering with a respected specialist planning consultancy to appoint a Planner into its South East team. About the Role As Planner, you will support a variety of planning projects and gain exposure to all stages of the development process. You will work closely with senior colleagues, clients, local authorities, and external consultants, contributing to successful planning outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake site appraisals and prepare high-quality written reports
• Carry out planning policy research and advise on submissions
• Monitor planning applications and provide strategic input
• Assist with planning appeals and supporting documentation
• Liaise with clients and multidisciplinary consultants
• Support project management through the planning process
• Help deliver robust and policy-compliant planning strategies

About You

• Experience within planning consultancy or local authority planning
• Strong report writing and analytical skills
• Good understanding of planning policy and process
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage deadlines
• Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
