Food Science Technician

CK Group are recruiting for a Food Science Technician to join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis for initially 6 months (temp-to-perm a possibility).

Salary: £16.67 per hour PAYE

Food Science Technician role:

• Carrying out practical work to support project managers to help develop new products and solve any challenges associated with formulating, application of ingredients and development of novel food processing techniques.
• Ensure effective organisation of assigned workload, provide high quality product samples, and timely/accurate provision of results.

• Provide training in routine lab activities and housekeeping duties.
• Be competent in the operation of all kitchen equipment.
• Working in accordance with the quality standards and health and safety requirements of the development kitchen.

• Educated to Degree / HNC level in a relevant scientific discipline

  or equivalent relevant experience in a laboratory.

• Good understanding of basic lab equipment.
• Some practical experience in a development kitchen would be a bonus.
• Computer literate in standard MS office applications
• Accountable, honest, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
