Reading FC Community Trust are seeking to recruit a Premier League Inclusion Coach, who will deliver across our Kicks, Disability and women’s & girls provision. The successful candidate will report directly to the Premier League Kicks Project Lead. Premier League Kicks delivers diversionary and positive activities on behalf of the Premier League Charitable Fund. Working across area’s and groups of deprivation and need across three key strands of disability, inclusion and female football. The candidate will need to have knowledge, experience and understanding of representing a large organisation, being aware of all aspects that RFC CT & Reading Football Club represent. Have experience working across all levels from grassroots to prestigious events where you will deliver sessions, workshops and presentations to support Reading FC CT and its community cohesion.

Main duties

· Delivering coaching sessions during unsociable hours across our Kicks, Female Kicks and Women/Girls provisions at venues in and around Reading, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Bracknell and Windsor.

· To liaise with line manager regarding session’s success and considerations to improve participation and quality of experience to participants.

· To work with key charitable partners across practical delivery to help supervise and mentor young people and volunteers across a weekly programme.

· To promote participation in PL Kicks activities; encouraging a range of vulnerable & targeted young people in the community and in schools who are at risk of engaging in criminality, alcohol and substance abuse.

· Develop an understanding of how highly regarded The PL Kicks Brand is to young people in the town and deliver to a high level on their expectations.

· Ability to deal with challenging behaviour and follow correct reporting and referral procedures.

· Deliver an inclusive programme of diversionary activities & educational workshops for young people with a variety of need.

· Identify and attend continuous professional development courses appropriate to Kicks delivery.

· Have a good understanding of The FA’s Disability Pathway and local County FA provisions and sign post players into appropriate impaired sessions.

· Highlight and signpost participants into a number of agreed exit routes across appropriate provisions.

· Lead on promotion on our services and products available to the general public.

· Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Trustees.

· Assist with the bookings of school based projects, writing reports and coordinating a monitoring and evaluation system.

· To work in accordance with Reading FC Community Trust policies and procedures.

· To uphold the Trust’s GDPR and Data protection policies.

· To adhere to a strict code of confidentiality in respect of any information relating to Reading Football Club and its operation.

· To maintain and follow Reading Football Club Community Trust’s policies and procedures (including but not limited to Safeguarding (Child Protection), Health, Safety, Equal Opportunity, Data Protection and Mental Health and Wellbeing).

· To act in a manner that always supports the Trust’s Vision and Values, representing the Trust in a professional manner.

· To be presentable at all times when working and demonstrate that you can represent the face of the club in the manner expected.

· Ensure your DBS remains up to date by renewing it every 3 years, as well as ensuring all training requirements for your role are up to date.

The successful candidate will need to be passionate about and committed to the development of participants of all academic and playing abilities. You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Candidates must be able to deliver dynamic and challenging coaching sessions, which inspire young people and ensure they make rapid and sustained progress at all levels. Candidates need to demonstrate they can provide clarity, direction and inspiration of what can be achieved within the community programme.

Candidate must be able to show clear understanding of safeguarding and procedures around diversity groups to ensure safe inclusion on the issues face by young people within targeted areas including disability, young women.

It is essential that candidates can communicate with staff, participants and partners in a clear, concise and purposeful way to build effective relationships. It is also crucial that candidates demonstrate that they work hard and complete work to a high standard, providing evidence of how they continually look for ways of improving individual and team performance.

Candidates must have a current driving licence and fully understand that the role requires significant evening and weekend commitment. As this role involves direct access to young persons under the age of eighteen, within the context of the job or any related activities or responsibilities, the successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and will need to have a First Aid in Sport qualification before taking up the role.
