We’re looking for Bank Care Professionals to join our brilliant team in Berkshire working around Reading, Bracknell or Wokingham , to provide quality visiting care to people in their homes. As a Good Oaks carer, you’d make a huge difference to the quality of our clients’ lives, having enough time to go the extra mile.
No experience required and we provide paid training and detailed support when you join but we do need people willing and able to be available at short-notice as bank carers.
What will you do?
• Provide companionship and engage in conversation with the client
• Provide assistance with daily household tasks and activities
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, laundry and ironing
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking
• Run errands, such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions
• Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing and grooming (if required)
• Administration of medication and support repeat ordering
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings (if required)
Who are you?
• You’re a caring individual with a good work ethic, ideally looking for a second role or supplementary work
• You have excellent people and communication skills and can be flexible and reliable
• You’re able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• You can demonstrate professionalism and can treat people with respect
• You’re reliable and trustworthy and can maintain confidentiality of client information
• You have the physical stamina to perform household tasks and assist with personal care
• You have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work
You're willing to undertake a DBS check to work with vulnerable adults
• You must have the right to work in the UK
What do we offer?
• £14-15 per hour (weekday and weekend) plus 45p mileage
Part time hours: early morning, evening and weekend hours available on standby basis
