Pay: £85 – £100 per day

Are you a psychology graduate or someone passionate about working in special education, seeking meaningful experience before pursuing a career in therapy, clinical psychology, or social care?

A highly regarded specialist school in Reading, supporting children and young people aged 5 to 18 diagnosed with autism spectrum conditions and learning difficulties, is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.

Working alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will support students in accessing the curriculum and developing vital communication, social, and life skills within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment tailored to their unique needs.

What we’re looking for:

* A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field - ideal but not essential
* A strong interest in autism, learning difficulties, and child development
* Patience, empathy, resilience, and the ability to adapt your approach to individual needs
* Previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential
* A genuine commitment to supporting young people in reaching their full potential

This is a full-time, term-time position starting ASAP. The school is keen to find someone ready to commit for the academic year and beyond.
