The Role

• Teaching Biology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 expected

• Taking on additional leadership responsibilities in line with the TLR (e.g. Key Stage Lead, A Level Lead, or departmental support role)

• Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons

• Supporting pupils with practical investigations, coursework, and exam preparation

• Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities

• Working collaboratively within a small, supportive Science department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• A degree in Biology or a closely related subject

• Experience teaching Biology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

• Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice

• Experience contributing to leadership or departmental development

• A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach
