The Role
The school is looking for an inspiring and knowledgeable Head of Physics who can provide strong leadership while maintaining excellent classroom practice.
Responsibilities of the Head of Physics include:
Leading and developing Physics across KS3–KS5
Teaching engaging and challenging Physics lessons up to A-Level
Driving curriculum development and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
Supporting and mentoring colleagues within the Science department
Contributing to whole-school leadership and strategic initiatives

The Ideal Candidate
The successful Head of Physics will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong experience teaching Physics across KS3–KS5
Demonstrate leadership experience or readiness to lead a subject area
Have a proven track record of strong student outcomes
Be passionate about Physics and committed to excellence in education
