Marketing Assistant
he Marketing Assistant supports the marketing team in the development, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns and activities for ALK’s pharmaceutical products. This role provides administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth implementation of marketing strategies, with a focus on healthcare professionals (HCPs) and compliance with industry regulations.
As an integral part of the team, the Marketing Assistant assists in managing marketing materials, coordinating digital and offline activities, tracking campaign performance, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. This entry-level role offers opportunities to develop skills in pharmaceutical marketing within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include supporting our marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Product Manager. The marketing assistant will assist in planning and organizing internal and external events and the project management of marketing initiatives in alignment with Brand Plans. They will work in close collaboration with local and international teams.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, organization, and distribution of marketing materials and resources for digital and traditional campaigns.
- Support the execution of marketing activities across various channels (e.g., email, social media, events) to raise awareness of ALK products among healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate updates to promotional materials on approved digital platforms and ensure proper documentation and version control.
- Help monitor and track campaign performance, gathering and compiling data for reporting and insights.
- Provide administrative support such as managing contacts with vendors and agencies.
- Assist with maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ABPI, pharmacovigilance) in all marketing activities.
- Participate in market research projects, gathering and organizing competitive intelligence and customer insights to inform marketing decisions.
- Maintain up-to-date records of marketing activity, ensuring all documentation is stored accurately and securely.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, medical, digital, and compliance, to support integrated marketing initiatives.
- Support the organization of internal and external events, including logistics and creation of event materials.
Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree (or working towards) in life sciences, marketing, communications or related field
- Some experience or internship in marketing, preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience with Veeva Promomats and Veeva CRM is preferable.
- Strong organization and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Independent and responsible worker.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Understanding of or interest in pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines with an ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
