The Opportunity

The firm is seeking an experienced Expatriate Tax Manager to join its Mid Markets Tax team in a role focused primarily on pure advisory work .

This position is centred on working with leading global organisations to provide strategic guidance on international mobility and expatriate tax matters . The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, supporting clients in navigating complex cross-border issues and developing commercially focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advisory services across a broad range of international mobility and expatriate tax matters
• Partner with clients to design, develop and enhance global mobility strategies and frameworks
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, delivering clear and commercially relevant insight on complex cross-border scenarios
• Lead discussions on tax planning, structuring, and risk management for internationally mobile employees
• Collaborate with specialists across employment tax, reward, and immigration to deliver integrated advisory solutions
• Interpret legislative and regulatory developments and translate them into practical, client-focused advice
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships as a key point of contact on mobility strategy

Skills and Attributes

• Strong expertise in expatriate tax and global mobility advisory
• Demonstrable experience in delivering strategic, client-facing advice rather than purely compliance-based work
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently at senior levels
• Commercially aware, with the ability to link technical advice to broader business objectives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical issues
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across specialist teams
• Professional qualification (ATT / ACA / ACCA / CTA / Law or equivalent)
