Chemistry Teacher - Independent School in Reading
We are currently recruiting an exceptional Chemistry Teacher to join a prestigious and academically ambitious Independent School in Reading. This is a full-time, permanent post beginning January 2026, ideally suited to a teacher with strong subject expertise, a passion for laboratory science and a commitment to high academic standards.
Job Overview
You will teach Chemistry across KS3–KS5, delivering high-quality lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding, strong practical competency and enthusiasm for scientific exploration. The role includes planning and delivering a rigorous curriculum, organising and delivering complex practical investigations, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, and contributing to ongoing departmental development.
The school especially welcomes applicants with experience teaching A-Level Chemistry, as the subject enjoys strong sixth-form uptake and consistently outstanding results.

Experience & Qualifications
• Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
• PGCE with QTS (or independent sector equivalent)
