SENCO - Independent School in Reading - April Start!
A well-established independent school in Reading is seeking an experienced and compassionate SENCO to join the school on a full-time, permanent basis, starting April. This is a key role within the school, supporting pupils with additional needs in a calm, well-resourced environment with small class sizes and strong pastoral care.

The Role
Leading and overseeing SEND provision across the school
Managing EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements
Coordinating interventions and tailored support for pupils with additional needs
Working closely with teaching staff, senior leaders, parents, and external agencies
Advising and supporting staff on inclusive classroom practice
Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to whole-school development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
NASENCO qualification (or willingness to complete if not already held)
Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and EHCP processes
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A calm, professional, and pupil-focused approach
