Vehicle Technician – Main Dealer

£35,000 Basic + Bonus (OTE £45,000+)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established and highly reputable main dealership in Reading.

Working within a skilled and supportive team, you will be part of a busy aftersales department servicing a loyal customer base, alongside a thriving new and used car sales operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who is passionate about their trade and eager to develop their skills with the latest automotive technologies.

Requirements

• Carry out maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across a range of passenger and commercial vehicles
  
• Work efficiently while maintaining manufacturer and industry standards
  
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment to complete all work in line with approved methods
  
• Accurately document all work using internal and manufacturer systems
  
• Provide clear and professional explanations of work carried out to both colleagues and customers (including video updates where required)
  
• Continuously develop technical knowledge through manufacturer training programmes
  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  

What they are looking for-

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Service Technician
  
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  
• Excellent communication and team collaboration
  
• EV/Hybrid qualifications are advantageous (training provided if not held)
