Graduate Control & Instrument Engineer

As a Control and Instrument Graduate, you will be supported through a development programme designed to build both your technical capability and professional confidence. We provide:
- Technical challenge - develop your core and specialised engineering skills, including control system design, instrumentation specification, and safety systems to a world-leading standard.

- Control system design - PLC, DCS and SIS specification, control philosophies, cause & effect diagrams, and system architecture development.
- Instrumentation engineering - Instrument selection, datasheets, hook ups, installation design, and commissioning support.
- Functional safety - Participation in HAZOPs and SIL studies, and alarm management.
- Carbon Capture: Control and instrumentation design for compression, transport and sequestration facilities, from concept development through to detailed engineering.
- Hydrogen: blue hydrogen (w/CCS), green hydrogen, ammonia/hydrogen economy innovation.
- Future of hydrocarbons: adapting existing facilities and designing ambitious new projects, to produce the next generation of lower carbon fuels and chemicals.
- Variety in projects , requiring highly adaptable and naturally curious/inquisitive individuals.
- Exposure to the Safety and Environmental aspects of design work.
- Four year structured program within your chosen discipline and business unit.

- Minimum 2:1 degree to MEng level in a Control and instrument Engineering, or related discipline, which must be an accredited degree course.
- Enthusiasm to work and develop your career in Control and Instrument Engineering.
- Demonstrate initiative, tenacity and excellent communication skills.
- Possess an ability to learn quickly and be adaptable and flexible to match business requirements.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environments.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
