About the role

Are you looking for a role where you can make a real impact every day? As a Service Co-Odinator, you’ll help ensure new customer connections across our region are set up accurately and on time. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that protects our assets, supports our customers, and plays a key part in delivering an excellent service across Thames Water. You will play an important part in delivering an excellent first experience for customers as they begin their journey with Thames Water. Your work will help ensure accurate billing, strong service delivery, and positive customer outcomes.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Support and coordinate the end-to-end meters into accounts process
  • Complete accurate data entry across multiple systems within agreed timeframes
  • Monitor progress and highlight risks, issues, or delays
  • Communicate clearly with customers, colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Respond to queries and provide timely, customer-focused support
  • Maintain organised records and track information with attention to detail
  • Support service improvements by identifying patterns, trends, or process gaps
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and shared performance goals

To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data entry
  • Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines
  • Confidence using IT systems and standard office software
  • Analytical thinking to review information, identify issues, and support decision-making
  • A customer-focused approach, with an understanding of the importance of service quality

Additional skills and experiences that would be great to bring:

  • Experience or knowledge of the water industry.

Working arrangements

  • Base location: Reading – Clearwater Court
  • Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Working style: Flexible and hybrid working considered
  • Additional exposure: Site visits and opportunities to work with other areas of the business

Grade A - 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)

Grade B – Grade D - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
