Guide Dogs - Where Every Role Makes a Difference

Come and join us as a proactive and purpose‑led Personal Assistant and be part of something life‑changing - helping people with sight loss live the life they choose.

The Personal Assistant helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by providing confidential and efficient support to the Executive Manager to CEO and the Executive Directors to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Executive Manager to the CEO, contributing to the effective day-to-day running of the Office of the CEO.
  • Act as the primary contact for the Executive Directors with people from inside and outside the organisation. This includes planning and taking responsibility for the smooth running of the Executive Directors’ time.
  • Manage correspondence from initial receipt through to resolution, including drafting responses such as letters of thanks, condolences, and long-service acknowledgements.
  • Prepare clear, accessible, and high-quality documentation in line with organisational standards. • Support and, where appropriate, take ownership of ad hoc projects under the direction of the Executive Manager to the CEO.
