A specialist provision in Reading is seeking a Mental Health Assistant to join their dedicated team. The successful Mental Health Assistant will support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as associated challenges such as anxiety, trauma, and behavioural difficulties.
The role of Mental Health Assistant will include:
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH needs
• Supporting emotional regulation and coping strategies
• Assisting with behaviour management plans
• Creating a safe and supportive learning environment
• Working closely with staff and external professionals
