We are actively hiring to support a diverse range of educational needs in Berkshire.

At our organization, we are dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are particularly focused on supporting children with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

We are seeking passionate SEN / SEND tutors who are committed to making a difference in the lives of disengaged and vulnerable learners. If you are a qualified teacher eager to provide 1:1 tutoring in a creative and trauma-informed manner, we want to hear from you!

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role:

  • Provide tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND, SEMH needs, MLD, SLD, or other educational challenges.
  • Support students referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional journeys.
  • Deliver flexible and holistic tutoring that is trauma-informed and tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan engaging and effective tutoring sessions.
  • Deliver holistic sessions that advance educational and social-emotional development.
  • Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on student progress.

Requirements:

  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS).
  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other educational needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding processes.
  • Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this at cost).
  • Two professional references.
  • Must be based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote assignments.

Note: You must promote the health, safety, and well-being of children and adhere to safeguarding policies at all times.

Employment Status:

  • This position involves short-term engagements as needed.
  • You will work under a contract for service and be paid via PAYE.
  • No guaranteed work or expense coverage is provided.
  • Our insurance covers the work you do for us.
  • This is not a self-employed tutoring position.
