Mobile Plant Fitter
Plant Technician (Mobile Role) Reading and Heathrow areas (M4 Corridor) £20ph, OTE rate £30ph. Our client is looking for an experienced Plant Technician. As a Plant Technician, your role will be to keep our customers’ vehicles and machinery fully maintained and compliant to maximise uptime. We are committed to investing in your career and skill set, so when you join our technical team, you will benefit from an annual appraisal and comprehensive, ongoing training Day to day, you will be: Performing major and minor repairs to plant machinery. Carrying out PDI works and attachment set up on plant machinery. Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery. Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services according to machine hrs and schedules. Maintaining inventory in the service vehicle and cleanliness from oil spills and dust. Working with other departments, including the sales team to ensure a quality and reliable service level is provided to customers. Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for to machines/vehicles. Maintaining records of machines/vehicles that have been repaired or handled. Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims according to manufacturer requirements or escalating them to higher management. Providing in-house training to recruits and trainees as required. Carrying out your role with quality, compliance and health and safety always at the forefront of what you do… ⚙️Skills & Behaviours Required for this Role: You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Plant Machinery Repair and maintenance. What’s more, you will need the ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle and machinery classes.
