IT Technician - High-Achieving Secondary School - Reading
A high-achieving secondary school in Reading is seeking a reliable and technically confident IT Technician to join its support team. The Role
You will provide first- and second-line IT support to staff and students, ensuring systems and classroom technology operate smoothly throughout the school day. The role is varied and hands-on, requiring strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing day-to-day IT support across the school
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently
Supporting classroom technology, including laptops, desktops, printers, and interactive screens
Managing user accounts, devices, and access permissions
Assisting with network and system maintenance
Supporting data protection, cybersecurity, and safeguarding procedures
Liaising with external IT providers where required
Maintaining accurate records of equipment, faults, and fixes
