Key Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom of 15‑20 children, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate age‑appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and wellbeing.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and health & safety standards.
• Support the setting’s daily operations, including meal times, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Mentor and guide assistant staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth.

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant early years qualification (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Experience working with children aged 0‑5 in a nursery or preschool setting.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a small team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection best practices.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a genuine love for early childhood education.
