Nursery Room Supervisor
Room Leader – Early Years Setting

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a classroom of 15‑20 children, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate age‑appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and wellbeing.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and health & safety standards.
- Support the setting’s daily operations, including meal times, outdoor play, and transitions.
- Mentor and guide assistant staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant early years qualification (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Experience working with children aged 0‑5 in a nursery or preschool setting.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a small team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection best practices.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a genuine love for early childhood education.
