A specialist school in Reading is seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join their supportive team. The school provides education for pupils with complex learning needs, and every student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
The school supports pupils with a range of needs including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and physical needs. Many students have a combination of these needs, requiring a personalised and highly supportive approach to learning.
As an SEN Teacher, you will lead a small class and work closely with experienced teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN professionals to provide a meaningful and engaging learning experience tailored to each pupil.
Key Details
* Role: SEN Teacher
• Location: Reading
• Salary: Dependant on experience (Teacher pay scale) + SEN allowance
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Start Date: ASAP
Ideal Candidate
This role would suit:
• Qualified Teachers (QTS or equivalent)
• Teachers with experience in SEN, ASD, SLD, or PMLD settings
• Early Career Teachers with a strong interest in specialist education
