A welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Class Teacher to join their supportive team. This is a full-time position within a specialist setting supporting children and young people aged 5–16 with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex learning needs.
This SEN Class Teacher role offers the opportunity to work in a nurturing, structured environment where every pupil is supported through personalised learning plans, therapeutic approaches, and a strong focus on emotional wellbeing.

• Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract: Long-term / Permanent opportunity
• Experience: SEN experience desirable but not essential
As an SEN Class Teacher, you will:
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support pupils’ academic progress alongside their social and emotional development
• Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and external professionals
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and families
This SEN Class Teacher role is ideal for qualified teachers who are passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting children with additional needs. It would particularly suit individuals with an interest in Autism, SEMH, or therapeutic approaches to learning.
