About The Role

The Brand Executive will support the execution of the club’s visual identity across digital, print, and in-stadium platforms, ensuring all creative output reflects the club’s values, seasonal style, and brand standards. Working closely with Marketing, Media, Fan Engagement, and Commercial teams, the role translates ideas and briefs into impactful creative solutions that enhance the supporter experience, strengthen brand perception, and support revenue-generating activity

Key Accountabilities

  • To execute high-quality graphic design and motion assets that align with Reading FC’s brand guidelines and seasonal visual identity, ensuring consistency across all areas of the club.
  • To support the development and application of the club’s seasonal visual style, ensuring it is consistently reflected across matchday assets, campaigns, and promotional activity.
  • To act as a guardian of the Reading FC brand, maintaining high standards of visual quality, accuracy, and consistency across all outputs.
  • To design and deliver creative assets across a wide range of channels, including the club website, social media platforms, email communications, out-of-home (OOH), and digital displays, producing both static and animated content as required.
  • To create matchday-specific assets, including Big Screen and pitch side LED multimedia content, designed to inform, engage, and enhance the supporter experience while promoting club and partner initiatives.
  • To support the creation and maintenance of email templates, including pre and post-match formats, working closely with the Media and wider Marketing team to ensure templates are fit for purpose and on brand.
  • To produce bespoke creative assets to support ticketing, retail, hospitality, membership, and commercial events, ensuring design output supports engagement and revenue objectives.
  • To create mock-ups, presentations, and visual materials to support sales activity, partnerships, and internal departments, translating briefs into clear, professional, and impactful design solutions.
  • To collaborate closely with Marketing, Media, Fan Engagement, and Commercial teams to ensure design output is coordinated, timely, and aligned with wider club activity
  • To work collaboratively with all departments to understand requirements and provide creative guidance that aligns with brand and club values.
  • To manage and prioritise workload effectively, balancing multiple requests while ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
  • To proactively communicate capacity, timelines, and delivery expectations, flagging potential conflicts or pressures in advance.

About The Candidate

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong creative flair with the ability to produce visually compelling and on-brand designs across multiple formats and platforms.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects, with the ability to create both static and animated content.
  • Strong understanding of brand identity, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to adapt creative output to different audiences, channels, and objectives.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high production standards.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator, able to interpret briefs, challenge constructively where appropriate, and present creative ideas clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, particularly around matchdays and campaign launches.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a willingness to continuously develop creative skills and techniques

Qualifications/Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable professional experience in a graphic design, creative, or digital design role.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work across digital, print, and motion graphics.
  • Proven experience using the Adobe Creative Suite at an advanced level, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
  • Experience producing assets for multiple platforms, including social media, websites and large-format digital displays.
  • Experience working to brand guidelines and maintaining consistent visual standards.
  • Ability to obtain and retain all required certifications
  • Willingness to undertake Continued Professional Development organised by Reading Football Club.
  • Completion of Safeguarding Training.
  • Completion of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion training.

Desirable

  • Experience within professional sport or entertainment based organisation.
  • Experience producing in-stadium, LED, or broadcast-style graphics.
  • Experience supporting commercial or partnership presentations and proposals.
  • Basic understanding of marketing, fan engagement, or digital performance metrics.
  • Relevant qualification in graphic design, digital media, or a related creative discipline
