The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop geographical knowledge, enquiry skills and critical thinking

• Inspire students to explore physical and human geography, including global challenges such as climate change and sustainability

• Support students of all abilities through inclusive and differentiated teaching

• Prepare students for GCSE Geography examinations

• Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources

• Lead or support extracurricular activities such as fieldwork, geography clubs or enrichment trips

• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback

• Play an active role in the pastoral life of the school, including form tutoring

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Has a degree in Geography or a related subject

• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for geography education

• Is eager to develop their teaching practice as an Early Career Teacher

• Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour

• Is reflective, enthusiastic and committed to ongoing professional development

• Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
