A popular and oversubscribed academy in Reading is seeking a Computer Science Teacher to join them from January 2026 . Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and strong ECTs looking for a robust training programme.
School Information
This mixed secondary academy, graded ‘Outstanding’ , educates around 1,300 students and is recognised for high academic achievement, strong student behaviour, and exceptional pastoral systems. Located close to Reading town centre, the school benefits from excellent rail and bus connections.
The Computer Science department is highly regarded and well-equipped with dual-screen workstations, coding and networking software, a dedicated server room, and modern sixth-form study spaces. GCSE and A-Level Computer Science results are consistently above national averages, with a strong uptake at post-16.

Experience and Qualifications
PGCE/QTS or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science
Ability to teach across KS3/4/5
Excellent communication and classroom management
Passion for digital innovation and STEM enrichment
Salary
The salary for this Computer Science Teacher position will be paid to scale .
