The Role

• Full-time Head of DT, starting January 2026

• Lead and develop the Design & Technology department across KS3–KS5

• Teach DT specialisms (Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering Design) to GCSE and A-Level

• Drive curriculum innovation and departmental strategy to inspire creativity and achievement

• Line-manage and support colleagues, fostering high standards of teaching and learning

• Oversee enrichment activities, including design competitions, STEM clubs, and links with industry

What We’re Looking For

• QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology

• A proven track record of excellent classroom teaching at KS4/KS5

• Experience in curriculum leadership or a clear readiness to step into a Head of Department role

• Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Commitment to inspiring students and fostering a culture of creativity and excellence
