Grounds Person - (Parks Litter Picking)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am start
Start Date: End of January 2027 Key Responsibilities Carry out litter picking and general cleansing duties in parks and open spaces
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with set schedules
Conduct visual inspections of children’s playground equipment and safety surfacing, reporting any defects
Support other operational teams during peak periods
Ensure public safety and apply byelaws and regulations appropriately
Drive vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes) to transport equipment, materials and waste
Carry out basic maintenance checks on equipment About You Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team
Take pride in maintaining clean and safe environments
Good communication skills and a professional approach Requirements Full UK manual driving licence (Category B or C1)
Confident driving vans or tipper vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
Licence will be checked prior to driving duties
Basic knowledge of manual handling or grounds maintenance is desirable (training provided)
Experience in playground inspections (RPII Level 1) is beneficial but not essential
