Support Engineer
- Monitoring, maintaining, and supporting:
- VMware infrastructure
- Microsoft Server 2022 (including Active Directory, DNS)
- Windows 11 desktops and third-party applications
- Anti-virus solutions and system security
- Basic networking and local area networks
- Backup systems
- Proactively monitoring systems, identifying issues, and resolving faults
- Logging, tracking, and managing support tickets through to resolution
- Working closely with customers to support their on-premise IT solutions
- Contributing to continuous improvement, service reviews, and best practices
- Collaborating with engineering teams across multiple projects
- Strong background in user support and application troubleshooting
- Experience supporting and maintaining:
- Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments
- VMware infrastructure
- Local area networks and basic networking
- Security appliances
- Experience working in highly regulated or controlled environments
- Ability to follow processes, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills, especially when dealing with end users
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage tasks effectively
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A collaborative team player who can build strong working relationships
- Experience with SIEM tools (Security Information and Event Management)
- Previous experience working in secure environments
- Full UK driving licence
