The Role

In this central role, you will ensure that financial procedures are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with school and trust policies. You will work alongside the School Business Manager and a friendly, collaborative administration team.

Your responsibilities include:

Processing all purchase ledger transactions

Supporting budget holders with financial updates and expenditure tracking

Reconciling accounts, managing petty cash, and recording school income

Preparing reports for senior leaders and governors

Handling financial administration for school trips, events, and curriculum activities

Supporting payroll verification and staff expense processes

Managing supplier queries, statements, and contract documentation

Maintaining audit-ready records and supporting internal audits

Assisting with financial compliance linked to DfE and local authority guidelines

This role requires someone with strong organisational ability, high accuracy, and confidence in handling financial procedures in a busy environment.
