Location: Reading
Salary up to £65,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Car Allowance £5,000 + Pension + 25 Days Holiday

Blaymires Recruitment is proud to represent a well-established Groundworks contractor based near Ringwood, Hampshire, seeking an Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Their portfolio includes major groundworks projects involving roads, sewers, deep drainage, enabling works, hard landscaping, foundations, and infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Commercial Director, manage residential groundworks projects valued up to £3 million.
• Oversee the commercial aspects of each package.
• Perform measurement and valuation of various civil engineering and groundworks packages.
• Prepare monthly payment applications for allocated projects.
• Identify and price client variations; negotiate and agree on variations.
• Prepare subcontract tender enquiry documents and review submitted tenders.
• Manage payment of subcontract accounts.
• Conduct monthly meetings with the Commercial Director and Commercial Manager.
• Handle final account duties.

Requirements

• Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in groundworks, especially residential groundworks, is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel.
• Valid driving licence to travel to live sites across the South of England.
