About the Role

We are recruiting for a Security Officer to work at a well-known distribution centre in Thatcham. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the site, staff, and visitors.

This role is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, with transfer to the client after 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site patrols

• Monitor access and egress, ensuring site security at all times

• Investigate disturbances and respond to incidents appropriately

• Communicate clearly via radio communications

• Confidently escalate emergencies and complete detailed incident reports

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A valid SIA Licence

• Good IT skills

• Experience completing incident reports

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• 5-year checkable work/career history

• Experience in a similar role (desirable)

• The ability to remain calm and work under pressure

• Good physical fitness to undertake required duties

• Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends
